Jay Jacobs
Canadian Certified Counsellor
I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor, registered with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Originally from Calgary, my journey has been shaped by both my passion for helping others and my experience as a high-performance athlete. I played Division I hockey in the U.S. while earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology, followed by a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counselling.
My approach to therapy is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and genuine connection. I strive to meet you where you’re at and create a safe, supportive space where you feel seen, heard, and understood. I work with individuals, couples, families, and athletes from all walks of life, including those navigating identity, gender-affirming care, and relationship dynamics.
I support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, personality disorders, and a wide range of life changes and transitions. I also work with couples and families, and offer support around sexual health, intimacy concerns, and men’s mental health. Whether you’re facing something specific or simply looking for a place to reflect, grow, and reconnect with yourself, I’m here to support you.
I view therapy as a courageous step toward healing and a space to explore, grow, and reconnect with your most authentic self. Drawing from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy, I tailor each session to your unique needs and goals.
Are you searching for a space to be truly yourself?
I’m here to walk alongside you as you move toward greater clarity, resilience, and fulfillment.

Mark Doiron
BSW, RSW
Hello! I’m Mark. I’m a Registered Social Worker with over 14 years of professional experience, including work in threat and risk assessment and supporting individuals and families through complex and often challenging life situations. I completed my Social Work diploma at Mount Royal University and later earned my Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Manitoba. I also hold certification in both Foundational and Advanced Violence Risk Assessment and Management training through Protect International.
Much of my background comes from working within the justice system, including supporting individuals and families affected by domestic violence and high-risk situations. These experiences have shaped how I approach counselling, with a strong emphasis on safety, respect, and meeting people where they are at.
I take a collaborative and down-to-earth approach, aiming to create a space where you feel comfortable, heard, and not judged. I understand that reaching out for support can be difficult, and I work at a pace that feels right for you. I draw on evidence-based approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and strengths-based work. Together, we’ll focus on better understanding your thoughts and emotions, building practical coping strategies, and taking meaningful steps toward what matters most to you.
Whether you’re navigating stress, relationship challenges, or a major life transition, I’ll work alongside you to make sense of what’s going on and support you in creating meaningful, lasting change.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and playing guitar, which helps me stay grounded and balanced in my daily life.
I look forward to the chance for us to work together!

Jessica Klaschinsky
Founder/ Owner
Hi, I’m Jessica, a nurse, mom of three, and the founder of Balance + Restore Co.
I’ve spent years working in healthcare, including mental health, where I saw firsthand how many people were struggling to find support that truly felt right for them. Too often, care felt rushed, impersonal, or limited to surface-level conversations.
That experience is what led me to create Balance + Restore Co.
I wanted to build something different, a space that feels safe, welcoming, and deeply rooted in community. A space where people don’t just come to talk, but to learn, grow, and truly heal.
My background in nursing has deeply shaped the way this space was created with compassion, understanding, and a focus on the whole person.
I believe mental health support should feel accessible, real, and tailored to where you’re at in life, and that’s exactly what we aim to provide through the clinicians and services within Balance + Restore Co.
Whether you’re navigating stress, relationships, life transitions, or just feeling overwhelmed, you don’t have to figure it out on your own.
This space was created for you.

Welcome! I believe that feeling understood is key to meaningful change, and I strive to create a space where you feel supported, heard, and able to be yourself. My approach is client-centered, trauma-based, and holistic.
With a Master of Counselling degree from City University of Seattle in Canada and over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, I bring both knowledge and practical insight to my work. I am a Certified Psychotherapist with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and a Child and Youth Care Counsellor with the Child and Youth Care Association of Alberta. My experience spans a variety of settings, such as adolescent group care, schools, in-home support, university instruction, leadership, and adult mental health.
I work with individuals of all ages, as well as couples and families navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, emotional challenges, grief, trauma healing, somatic pain, and more. Sessions are tailored to meet your unique needs, while also offering practical tools you can apply in everyday life.
My work draws from a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Clinical Hypnotherapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) interventions, Somatic Therapy, Play-Based Therapy (including Theraplay), and Family Systems approaches.
Thank you for reaching out for support. I look forward to connecting with you.

Jorden Habing
Medical Esthetician, Advanced Skin Treatments, Lash & Brow Artist
Hi, I’m Jorden
I’m a Medical Esthetician and Lash & Brow Artist, and I’ve been in the esthetics industry since 2013. Over the years, I’ve built my career around helping people of all ages feel comfortable, confident, and at home in their own skin through advanced, results-driven treatments.
I come from a background in nursing, and I previously owned and operated my own salon for several years, where I led all esthetics services. That experience really shaped how I approach my work today combining knowledge, real results, and a space where clients feel supported, understood, and cared for.
I specialize in advanced skincare treatments, with a strong focus on acne for youth, teens, and adults. I know how deeply skin concerns can impact confidence, self-esteem, and even mental well-being. That’s why I’m so passionate about being part of a space that supports the whole person where mental health and self-care go hand in hand. While therapy supports what’s happening internally, I love being able to help people feel more like themselves again on the outside.
I’m also the owner of my own medical-grade skincare line, created to support real skin concerns with products that actually work.
I am certified in a comprehensive range of services, offering advanced skincare treatments along with Eco Infusion lash and brow services to help you look and feel your best.
Outside of the clinic, I’m a mom of six and a full-on hockey mom, so I truly understand how easy it is to put yourself last. My goal is to create a space where you can take that time back, whether it’s to reset, recharge, or simply feel like yourself again.
