Which Assessment is Right for You?
ADHD assessment
For children, adolescents and adults experiencing concerns related to attention, impulsivity, organization, emotional regulation or symptoms of ADHD.
Assessments evaluate history and life functioning to determine if symptoms consist with ADHD and if other factors contribute.
Psychoeducational Assessment
An evaluation of cognitive functioning to understand how a person processes information and performs academically.
These assessments address concerns about learning difficulties, performance, or differences between abilities and achievement.
Gifted Assessment
A gifted assessment explores cognitive ability and advanced intellectual functioning.
It helps families and schools understand a child's learning profile to determine whether enrichment, acceleration or other educational supports may be appropriate.

What Does the Assessment Process Look Like?

Book Your Initial Appointment
Select the appropriate assessment or assessment consultation through our secure Jane booking portal.
You'll complete intake information that helps Terra understand your concerns and what you're hoping to learn from the assessment.

Clinical Interview + Background
Terra will meet with you to discuss the reason for assessment, relevant developmental, medical, educational and family history, current concerns and day-to-day functioning.
For children and adolescents, parent or caregiver involvement is typically an important part of this process.

Questionnaires + Testing
Depending on the type of assessment, you or your child may complete standardized psychological testing, questionnaires, rating scales and other measures.
Information may also be requested from parents, caregivers, teachers or other relevant sources when appropriate and with consent.

Scoring + Comprehensive Review
Terra reviews and interprets the assessment results alongside the background information collected throughout the process.
Because every assessment is individualized, the exact measures and number of appointments may vary.

Feedback + Written Report
You'll meet with Terra to review the findings in plain language, discuss any diagnoses or identified areas of concern, highlight strengths and receive practical recommendations.
A written psychological assessment report is provided outlining the results and recommendations.
