Miles for Men's Mental Health Poker Run

A Sober Poker Run for Men’s Mental Health & Recovery

August 22, 2026 | Strathmore, Alberta

About the Event

Miles for Mental Health was created to help break the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and addiction recovery. It’s more than just a ride; it’s a movement toward understanding and openness.

The event creates a supportive, community-focused environment where men can connect through riding, conversation, and shared experiences. We believe that connection is a cornerstone of recovery.

Many men struggle in silence; this ride is designed to create connection, recovery support, and community without pressure or judgment. August 22 is a day for standing together.

Why Our Mission Matters

1 in 5

Men struggle with mental health in silence, often due to long-standing societal pressure to 'man up'.

3 Times

Men are less likely to seek professional support for addiction or mental health concerns compared to women.

Rural Gap

Access to specialized recovery resources remains limited in rural Alberta, making local initiatives vital.

Connect

Shared experiences through riding build authentic connections that break the stigma of vulnerability.
